Game Crashes in the Alley
So my game crashes EVERYTIME I go into the alleyway for Classi's "medicine," yet I never get a error message, just Ubisoft updating the cloud saves. What can i do to fix this so i can try and keep enjoying my fun?

We're aware of an issue where the game may freeze after knocking a stripper into Classi.

Have you tried verifying your game files in Steam?

Is there any way you could provide us with a link to a video showing exactly when your game crashes?

Yes i have verifyed my game files, and no i can not. It happens after Classi tells you to go get her meds from the medical kfc, The momment i walk into the alley way it crashes.
If you're still experiencing this issue, please create a case on the {LINK REMOVED} so we can look into this for you?

Thanks

i have the same problem... evertime it gets stuck on loading, then shuts down and shows the ubisoft updater....
Try playing the game whilst in offline mode to see if it persist.

I’m having the same problem. I verified the files and everything. However, when I go to the alley, it takes me to the loading screen and then crashes. Is there any other way I can fix this problem? I would hate for my money to go to waste. :/

I'm sorry to hear that this is occurring.

Are you playing in Fullscreen mode? When you are about to enter the Alley try setting your game to Windowed mode, by hitting Alt+Enter as this has helped some users to get around these loading issues.

I'm not playing it on fullscreen.

Hey MisukiTheGamer,
Would you be able to post a video of this happening so we can get this looked into.

Have you tried to change the resolution to a smaller one? It worked for me and i'm hoping it will work for you.

Ive done a ton of research on this to no avail. It seems to be a very common issue. It always happens on the loading screen, most commonly at either entrance or exit from the raisins alleyway. Most people think it has something to do with the uplay app because it pops up to synchronize when the game closes, but i shut off uplay synchronizations and the crash still occurs. I've also tried;

- dropping resolution
- changing affinity to run off less processors
- verifying game files through steam
- uninstalling/reinstalling game
- uninstalling/reinstalling steam
- uninstalling/reinstalling uplay
- checking for updates
- changing compatibility settings
- running windowed mode
- playing in offline mode

These are all suggestions from different forums and websites across the internet pertaining to this exact issue. I think it's pretty clear that it's an issue with game itself that needs to be corrected

Hey Prime-Aux, thanks for listing the steps you have tried. Did you run through our full basic PC troubleshooting guide[support.ubi.com] in addition to these steps? In particular, I'd like to check that you have tested the game with start-up / background applications disabled[support.ubi.com], and also administrator permissions[support.ubi.com] enabled for the game .exe, Uplay PC and Steam.

Please let me know if the game still crashes with these steps also completed.

Reducing my resolution and going to window mode fixed the issue for me

hey, I'm having this issue in 2023 so I assume it isn't getting fixed any time soon? I tried all the previously mentioned solutions:

to no avail. I also figured out that the bug isn't about the loading screen. If you pass by the alley and trigger the voice/sound line it crashes in like 6 seconds unless you load into somewhere else (either the alley or one of the stores since only they are close enough). I assume that's how lowering graphics and windowed mode ended up helping some people, though this is no excuse for the crash. A game of 2d cardboard cutout characters doing turn based fighting surely can't be that performance demanding.
