PS4 controller not working

For some reason it's not recognizing my PS4 controller, even though other games do. Help please.

Edit, I got the controller working but it still uses Xbox prompts which is rather annoying. How do I fix that?

Edit: Apparently there is NO way to change prompts to that of a playstation 4's DS controller. This makes no sense since there is a PS4 version of the game so it shouldn't have been an issue to include that.

Also now I think the last update broke my game, because now whenever I press X/A it thinks I'm pressing Square/X as well and it's not my controller. The controller doesn't do this on any other game and all the buttons work fine.

I have the same problem, it only shows x360 prompts. If you find a solution can u let me know? I will do the same.

Yeah I can play the game fine, enter inspection mode and everything. It just always shows Xbone prompts and is annoying. Doesn't make sense since it came out for PS4 as well.

The Dualshock 4 is not officially supported on PC, which is why you will not see the button prompts in-game.

Just use the Xbox controller that's how u should play pc games dude Playstation controllers aren't supported on pc

If you only have access to a PS4 controller, then there are certain software that will make make your controller appear as an Xbox controller.

I don't HAVE an xbox controller. The PS4 controller works fine, it just doens't have prompts for the controlls in game which is dumb when there IS a PS4 version of the game. It makes no sense that you don't have prompts to support both main brands of controllers.

Last I checked the whole draw to PC was being able to play however I want, including using whatever controller I want. I don't have an Xbox controller and prefer PS4's over it. I and many others game on PC with PS4 controllers and there are plenty of games that support them. The ones that don't are lazy moves by the developers when they have versions of the game for that very same system with those prompts.

Actually PS4 controllers ARE supported on PC, Steam has PS4 integration.. I don't know why they simply didn't program it to recognize either XBOX controller or PS4. I know XBOX = Microsoft, but there's games that prompts keys depending on which controller is detected, like let's say The Witcher 3 or GTA V.

ps4 controllers suck for pc gaming xbox controllers are better for gaming on pc cause u dont need to setup controls for the controller also the anaalog sticks are in better spots i think the xbox controller is better than ps4 in general

I've used an authentic xbox 360 and xbox one controller on my PC and whenever you hit A it just performs an X action. If I want to attack I have to press and hold both X and A but when you try Y or B and A it switches you back to the X action.
