How to get past lava at U-Stor-It?

I searched online and it says you need to get stan to join for his ability to get rid of lava, it says after you defeat drunk Randy he will thank you and join. Only problem is I already beat him but nothing happened. Ive scoured the map, went to stans house, done side missions, but cant seem to figure out this.

Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know how to get him to join? Or what you need to do to trigger this?

Ok no thats my fault man, im giving you wrong info. Sorry dude I was drunk last night while playing and I got the order messed up. So after you give Classi her medicine and tells you about the U stor it, then Jimmy gets a text from one of the Freedom Pals to meet at the park, and thats where you fight the Freedom Pals for the second Civil War. Going to bed is after all of that. Sorry for giving you the wrong info there.

No problem, and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to help me. So I already gave her the meds, Jimmy called ♥♥♥♥ to tell him, and a quest popped up at U-Stor-It. But I have yet to get a text from jimmy or anyone, and the park lacks any quest icons or even any characters there besides the ambient static ones.

Do you know what triggers Jimmy texting? Sorry to bother you about this so much.

Is it telling you to go back to the ♥♥♥♥♥ lair by chance? I think thats what you have to do to trigger it.

Actually, checking the quest log I noticed there isnt a quest at all for it. I just assumed I was supposed to go to the storage place because thats where Classi said the cat was, and since theres no other main quests to do. The only quest I have that isnt a collection side quest is "operation: just cause" where you have to search some house, but I cant do that anyway because it says I havent unlocked the buddy needed to get into the house.

For some reason the code changed and I couldnt find it anywhere in cartmens house or journal but after 10min of guessing got it, only to find cartmen only gave generic lines and I couldnt interact with him. Ugh this is giving me a headache. Do you know if the cop mission needs to be done first? And if so how do you get the buddy needed to get into the house?

So im not sure if you need to do cop mission first, I remember doing that first though before moving on so Id give that a shot. And Cartman changed the password as well, usually the password is at the bottom of the screen but now it should be GET SCRAMBLES FAST. I could be wrong but like I said it should be at the bottom of the screen.

Do you know what buddy is needed to do the cop mission? Theres some panel on the garage door that can be inspected, but it only says buddy not unlocked yet, so I assume Im missing a buddy.

Hey thanks, just finished that quest line. STILL cant get the quest to activate. I give up, been wandering the town for hours, Ive finished every quest except the 500 might mosquito one, talked to everyone, and still cant get any of the story quests to start.

I think Im just going to have to start a new game. Im pretty sure this is a glitch at this point.

Yeah or just save the game and come back maybe try that out see if that works, but if its not showing up on your map where to go or your quest list then it must be a glitch man.

Hey your suggestion worked, saved and quit the game, loaded and now cartmen called saying hes impressed with my progress and called me back to the ♥♥♥♥ lair. FINALLY! Im assuming this is it. Want to thank you again for helping me with this, I greatly appreciate it, was stuck for quite awhile.

A lot of missions trigger in specific places, and you have to explore the town for them to pop up. The collecting missions largely exist to MAKE you explore the town, so you get the other quests. Similarly, some stuff is only accessible once you have a particular power.

I was hoping that this would work for me... but I've got the same situation and I saved, quit the game, loaded and I still haven't had a call yet about anything.
