No dialogue audio
None of the lines spoken by the characters, both inside and outside cutscenes, are coming through on my speakers. Sound effects and music are coming through just fine though...

I have already tried the 'playback devices trick'. My speakers were already set to stereo, in fact stereo is the only option available...

Does anyone have any idea of what to do? In the meantime, I'm going to refund and rebuy when a solution has been put forward....

Honestly, Ubisoft should be ashamed for releasing such a shoddy, bug-ridden product...

hello, this may not be the exact solution to your problem as I did many things which led to solve this problem for me but these are the steps which worked for me:

1 install microsoft framework 3.0 (including 2.0 ecc) and 4.5
2 install directx 9
3 install k-lite audio codec

Even though THIS IS NOT the official download link, I got 1 and 2 from nosteam [dot] eu/gamepc/?topic=297 and 3 from
codecguide [dot] com/download_kl.htm

I hope this helps you solve your problems as it did with mine
