Stuck within Medicinal Fried Fiasco

I'm unable to progress further in the story at this point. I've gotten to where I gained the recipie for a new timefart mechanic, but anytime I try to explore further in the area the game never loads and crashes. Be it from trying to do the Mosquito quest in Raisin's or just moving to the next screen to try and go to Skeeter's Bar, the game just crashes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as rebooting my computer, but nothing seems to work unlike before where other areas wouldn't load. Is there any way around this or do I just have to wait for a patch to eventually be released?

hard to get this information so i ask it, did u craft the new timefart then and used it to enter the medicinal fried fiasco? Since it's a linear game you r sometimes forced to do some things without distraction

I did not craft it yet, I figured the quickest way to Skeeter's was past Raisin's so I tried walking past first. After multiple crashes I talked to mosquito and tried going in Raisins. Now both options crash for me and I'm stumped.

then craft it and go into the medicinal fried fiasco, i'm pretty sure that after morgan freeman talked to you giving you the recipe u MUST craft and use it, maybe even doing the medicinal fried fiasco stuff

You can craft the burrito whenever you want. It only gets used when you go to the chicken place. A cutscene will play and you'll be prompted to eat it gaining the ability to bypass the guns.
