Battle Freezing

Is anyone else having the problem where a battle starts and it highlights a character and you cant do anything and it stays that way? at first after 5 min it would work but once it got to the enemies turn it was just stuck there. this is really annoying because besides this i was having so much fun with this game if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

I had a similar issue earlier today where the professor chaos boss fight got stuck.

It was the last hit I needed and when He just finished his turn and when it was supposed to be my turn my turn just would not come up and I was stuck.

Been trying to find a fix cause I don't want to have to restart and keep repeating this battle.

I'm having this problem as well and it usually occurs transitioning to an enemy team for me. I'm near the end of the game and it has been a real chore to run through. Seems like a memory leak to me. unpausing the game while holding/spamming the time fart triggers has made the battle continue sometimes.

It helped, I was able to finish the game with that. It had to be something in the recent patch as I had no issues until the last 4-5 hours of the game. I think I have somewhere around 20 hours in the game.

I had this problem too in Mephisto's lab (in two different battles) but was able to resolve it by enabling the Steam overlay and keeping it there for a few seconds.

Just mentioning in case someone else comes across the bug. I believe the first game had a bug like this too.

I really hope there's another trick to this. I've got Morgan Freeman down to less than 2000hp and I refuse to lose this way. I love this game, but I really don't want to have to restart the whole fight to this... *crying in corner

A little late, but maybe still valid: Workaround for this is quite simple :
Make sure you have steam overlay enabled and then just hit F12 (screenshot) each time combat seems frozen.

Hitting alt tab or shift tab seems to work for me. However I had the game freeze in the middle of the mutant Kyle boss fight and lost my opportunity to attack him because it froze my turn but kept the timer going on his sunscreen. That really angered me. Oh well.

I just had the same problem during the fight with butters but the alt tab thing didn't work. I pressed esc went to options and changed my display to windowed and it fixed it. I was able to go right back to full screen and its working fine now. Hope this helps someone.

Just had the same issue twice (when close to defeating Shub-Niggurath), but none of these tricks worked. That is really frustating.

Did the alt tab thing, it sped up the game and auto played and everyone died
