In the area where there is a lava pit in the U-Stor-It mission, how do I get past this obstacle?

That's what I was thinking. But I cannot go back without doing a save/load thing. Did I miss him somewhere?

Go to the right past the bricks. I got stuck there too without realizing the right was a way to go.
