It has to due with the recent episode, however I doubt Ubisoft will change the name because regardless of how you say the name as it still sounds the same either way.

Tolkien's name has been ambiguous and never officially confirmed until this month's 'The Big Fix' episode.

As both The Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole concluded core development prior to this announcement, the name remains unchanged. As Phone Destroyer is a still active title, it has been changed to reflect this.

This has been noted to the team and we expect any future media to be updated to reflect this confirmed spelling, but cannot guarantee changes will be made to older content.

Honestly the name's spelling shouldn't matter to people like this, because I point out that regardless of how its spelled it sounds exactly the same as both because everyone should know that letters become silent especially the I and E letters because the E will take over the I.
