hello there! i would like to play the game on the hardest difficulty, i just have one question before i jump into it. it says in the game that the difficulty does not affect combats. is that true?

The "difficulty" slider doesn't actually affect difficulty just changes your skin color, you'll be asked what difficulty you want to play as during your first group fight and before you go "well won't that break the achievement" no the achievement does take that into account so as long as you have a black character you'll get credit towards the achievement even before you pick the difficulty.

The difficulty slider changes your character and his skin tone. This does not actually change game difficulty other than the fact that you get less money from most sources of income. you'll get the option to change actual difficulty as you play the game. it will prompt you to change the difficulty then after playing for a bit.
