Pick yourself up by your bootstraps not triggering

I have followed multiple guides and gathered everything they say to gather and I cant seem to get the acheivement

Make sure you covered every possible spot, don't leave a stone unsearched since the requirements for it seem to be pretty simple, its just the matter of finding all the loot crates to get it.

yeah someone explained to me that if you check the couch before picking up the coin in front of the couch then you screwed yourself, and i already saved so now i need to restart a new game

Seriously? Must be why it isn't triggering for me either..

Confirmed that was the issue. Loaded an old save, made sure to pick up the coins in front of the couch first, and it worked.

Hello there, I know this topic is kinda old but have an issue with this achievement, too. I found out that I missed the coins in front of the couch but I can try again the correct way because I have an old save. However, I expected that after I start picking coins at SoDoSoPa that it will start to fill up a progress bar under this achievement in Steam app (like in case of Crappin' Forte or Boy Love Aficionado achievements). Alas it does not show any progress bar at all. Is this OK?

I had to go back to my last closest save 3 times to complete this one. You have to defeat Professor Chaos again, then you can look around SoDoSoPa (after defeating some ninjas in there) and make sure to pick up every single coin possible before touching the couch cushion. That’s how I got it.
