Pre puchase help

I'm new to steam and never pre purchased a game. How does it exactly work? Does it pay instantly? And how do I download when it comes out? Pls help

Just go to the shop, select the payment normal game or golden edition, select the type of payment use paypal card, and then you can buy the game.

The download will start in the next week, in 17 october, and you can play it.

Yes you will be charged right away, and the game will be in your library.
However Downloading the game can only start after the game has been released (or if there is a preloadphase which i kinda hope for)

I've dmed UbisoftSupport this week and they didnt have date yet for the preload.

Yeah, but it might be faster if there will be a preload (pre-download time, if im correct its already possible to predownload the South Park TFBW on XBOX)

Yes. After you pre purchase you can download it when it releases (or has a preload phase). Until then it will sit in your Library and you won't be able to downloaded.

You already know how to download it. It works the same way as Sleeping Dogs and you downloaded that but just in case:

To download it all you have to do is find the game in your Library and click "Install" when it is allowed to be downloaded.

Keep in mind this game isn't really a Steam game. It is a Ubisoft game. It uses a seperate DRM platform, like Steam, but called Uplay. You will also have to download Uplay if you have not already. When you launch this game from Steam it will first open Uplay and then the game.

If you have not used Uplay before:

If you have a console, and have played a Ubisoft game on it, then you already have a Uplay account to log in with and your console account is linked to that Uplay account. It will have all your Ubisoft game achievements, reward points, ect. that you earned from the console. Keep in mind that your Uplay account might not be the same name as your console account. That depends on what name you picked for Uplay on the very first Ubisoft game you played. If you have never played a Ubisoft game before then you will need to create a new account to log into Uplay with.

i look at uplay page and they are doing a preload. idk when it start thought,.

at lest that what it says in it uplay page from the app.

The game is available on both Steam and uPlay (different applications). However, even if you buy through Steam, you'll have to run it through uPlay as well anyway. So, if you buy through Steam, you'll need both a Steam and uPlay account.
If you buy through uPlay, you only need to run it through uPlay and not Steam.

Either way, you will be charged immediately for your purchase, and when the game is available to download (some time between now and Oct 17th), you will see a download button in your Steam or uPlay game library.
