Eleven Table Tennis

Eleven Table Tennis

what kind of grips do you offer?
penhold?
i see the shakehand in the video on store page

i use the same grip i use in tennis, the western grip and just cross discipline it to table tennis. it allows me to need only one side of the racket for both forehand/backhand

if i were to rotate the paddle in the game, could i use my western grip?

Hello em_t_hed,

in the game, once you go into the menu, and then into the gear icon, you can rearrange your paddle with 6 degrees of freedom (fancy way of saying any which way you want)

If you get the game, and find any issue with this, or have other concerns, feel free to send me a message after friending, or reply here. I am constantly monitoring the community to help provide support.

I've just had a marathon session in multiplayer, and re-arranged my paddle a couple of times until it felt right. Will the game remember the next time I play?
Would it be possible to have an option to save a profile? my wife likes to play "inverted", it would be nice if we could have a profile each.
not at the moment sorry, but...if your wife has a second steam account, and you just share your game with her...she'd have her own install and own preferences.

If you like the game, please leave reviews :)
I realize I'm reviving an old question but this is what I meant. This is me from today.

hi em_t_head, yea I tried that grip once..making believe I was nadal..but in ping pong :P

It gives you great forehand topspin, but makes everything else awkward (for me)
It's a great proof of concept for the Looping Backswing in Tennis. Classical Physics. What works at a large scale also works at a small scale and visa versa.

The size of the game changes from Tennis to Table Tennis, but the Humans (players) don't. Current (modern) FH Loops represent Traditional/Classic/Old school Tennis. The biggest reason the Shakehand grip works for Table Tennis is because of the size of the game itself, but in Tennis the humans don't scale in size along with the game. Therefore rendering the Shankehand (Continental grip) not as effective. Yes, it works in Tennis, but not as effective. The range of motion for the swing doesn't scale in size from Table Tennis to Tennis making it less effective.

Modern Tennis is based around Physics in unison/sync with Human Physiology. It's the reason why Modern Tennis has gotten so FAST in contrast to Classic Tennis. (Open stances, looping backswings, upper body rotations VS closed stances, straight and/or pendulum backswings) So if it works at a large scale, I figure why not try it at a small scale in Table Tennis.

And so I get to make videos like the above and below:

Tennis's capabillity of reaching 120mph groundstrokes... (James Blake on a return of serve) I figure it's worth a shot at trying Tenni's groundstroke technique in Table Tennis.

I think this is a great idea for mods to do. Friends should also be a thing, as well as being able to go back to the "default settings" as far as paddle speed/spin etc. Being able to group in table height and position as well would be a great addition
