I want to know that too. So, if anyone has an answer that would be nice :D
You hold down the triggers and the right analog stick then let go and the amount of flip seems to be different each time. I don't see how you can control this? And if you do it with just the sticks then it makes even less sense to not be able to at least slow down your flipping EXACTLY like you would/can with spinning - and in real life for that matter.
Have you ever seen a real boarder pull off a flip and just stay in that exact position until the end of the trick? R u saying they just jump and begin rotating, start praying and just stay locked in that position until they land and hope they "timed" the flip right?
It just makes ZERO sense to not be able to at least slow down a flip, just like in real life...
Trail and error is for sure part of it, but once you have the nuance of the control down, it is a calculated timing situation.
We understand the controls aren't pick up and play, but the more you put in the easier it will become.
It says you could increase the rate of rotation. When i make a flip i can tuck in but it doesnt affect the rate of rotation.
Thanks for answering our questions anyway
Btw, are you guys open for suggestions for the editor? And where to submit bugreports?
But not being able to stop a spin and only slow it down is actually how it works in real life... You huck yourself into the spin and un-tuck/counter-rotate your body at the right time to basically pause the spin briefly for landing.
If you were to mistime it, you would continue to spin(albeit at a slower pace). Watch pro-boarders and if you've ever seen them mistime it they quickly rotate back into the spin to land point forwards.
You can shifty/twist to try and squeak out a landing in the game. It wont be clean but you can ride away from it.
Recommend buying Stoked: Big Air Edition at this point.
Flat spins can be performed either from the triggers, or simply ollieing and pushing left/right on left analog stick.
It all depends on how fast you want to spin.
Dude, calm down. You havent even spent a full hour on this game yet (0.8h) and youre throwing it out because you wernt instantly adept?
Not trying to be mean, im just saying thats a shame. If you really want your money back, go for it, as you can always change your mind. But trying to scare other players off over this just kinda sucks...
Anyways I hope you come back. The more players the better.
