I had created a video on how to do it on YouTube, but Woke YouTube deleted my channel with that video.
I can make another video on how to do it.
Just limit the amount of vessels you place, else it becomes difficult to switch between them.
Edit: Never mind, the game crashes every time I launch the game, so no video.
I recommend watching a tutorial video for the mission editor.
Once you've watched a tutorial on creating missions, this next part should make more sense.
Select a map, add a mission start node, mission name and placing the ships you want 'I recommend only 5 at most' and saving are all you need for a free roam-ish experience.
Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to do once you get the hang of it.
