Ship Simulator Extremes Works on Windows 11
Despite being over 15 years old, Ship Simulator Extremes still works on Windows 11. Yes, things were a bit wonky at first, with missing play and back buttons, and the occasional black screen, but somehow, its fixed itself and now works very well. However, due to the old game engine, it is quite laggy, even on a potent machine.

I don't know, I just kept trying to the game, uninstalled twice, and one day it just worked, but without any forward or back buttons for the menu. I pressed shift-tab and then it worked. If I were you, I'd try going into the settings and changing either your resolution, or go into windowed mode. This might have been what fixed my game

Thanks for your answer @Multipilot. I found a solution. Windows resolution has to be 1920x1080 or less. Arrows in game menu are present and sea is not blury anymore.

dgVoodoo can help with running this game on modern operating systems also. I'm running it at 1440p with a capped 100Hz refresh rate, which is strange because my config file says it's supposed to be 60Hz. If I try to set it higher than 60Hz it will drop to 24Hz.

Graphics settings in this game sort of have a mind of their own.
