Ship Simulator Extremes
NAUTIS Home News [28 - June - 2022]
Hi [Name],
Over the past couple of weeks, the team has made significant progress on NAUTIS Home. We are pleased to share our development insights with you!

DEVELOPMENT
The focus over the past month has been on integration. In short, that means bringing all the individually developed features together and making sure they all communicate properly.

To give you some examples of integrated features we have been working on:
  • When you change the weather conditions of the environment in the weather menu, the weather systems in the simulator will adjust on the fly of your changes.
  • When you select an environment, vessel and starting position, the simulator will place the selected vessel in the correct location.
  • When loading a vessel in an environment, it will also load the corresponding ship controls and conning layout that match the selected vessel. The ship controls now communicate directly with the ship's propulsion systems, and the conning receives data from the ship's sensors.

For the first time, we have been able to sail around with all user interaction happening purely inside the NAUTIS Home ecosystem, a big milestone!

We have also started creating installers for NAUTIS Home, so that the software can for the first time be tested internally, outside of our development environment.

All in all, NAUTIS Home is really coming together now, changing from a collection of features into a cohesive simulator. A lot of time is going into this process, but it means that we are getting closer to making a release happen this year!

Interface
The interface design is being integrated with the NAUTIS Home software as we speak. This means we will be able to show you more on that the coming monthly updates.

Hereby another preview, this time of the UKC information (Under-Keel Clearance). Crucial data to not run your ship aground!

Content
For everyone who was waiting for a cargo vessel, we have the newest addition:
The Doggerbanke. (Personally just a "repaint" of the previous M/S Pride of Rotterdam)

This Ro-Ro Ferry has an overall length of 215 meters and is 31.5 meters wide. Great to sail in the port of Rotterdam, a top 3 ferry port in Western-Europe. Or choose to sail in more exotic scenery such as in Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, or Hong Kong.

Thank you again for your enthusiasm and patience. Stay tuned for next month's update!

Yours sincerely,
NAUTIS Home Team.

Can you fix ship simulators extreme? Or at least don't use subscription as a method of payment for NAUTIS Home.
The reason why I share news regarding NAUTIS Home here is only to keep fans of the Ship simulator genre like myself up to speed with the new game. And since it is from the same Developer I thought why not share the news with the fellow Captains.

I can't fix SSE, I am only an Ship/Maritime enthustiast.
Ok, thanks for the update
what type of areas are they doing and will we have like great lake freighters and stuff like that
The areas and ships (what they have revealed so far) is:

PORTS:
- Rotterdam (From SS06, SS08 and SSE)
- Rio de Janeiro (New)
- Hong Kong (New)
- Sydney (From SSE)
- New York (SS06, SS08 and SSE)

SHIPS:
- MV Gofret. (The same "Vermaas")
- Doggerbanke (Same as "Pride of Rotterdam" ferry)
- Vigo (same as "Cartagena Delight" / A Yatch)
- Zonnedael (Inland tanker - New-ish )
- Grutte Pier 1 (same as "Bugsier 2" / Tug)
- Leocadia 1 (Inland - kind of like "Mare Australe")

Hopefully so will we also have an open ocean to sail on, some more ports/areas and also hopefully more ships to sail with.
Monthly subscription to play the game ? LOL

Enjoy the sinking

I hope we can have the Atlantic, Pacific, and North Sea maps instead of just the Atlantic as in Extremes.
That was kind weird where if you were sailing from Sydney to Bora Bora and wanted to do something in an open sea environment, it had to be the Atlantic.
