Cossacks EW not working anymore

Since today the game Cossacks Art of War isn t working anymore. The game starts properly en I get to the main menu. Yet when i want to load a savegame, the game crashes and stops working. There's something wrong with the video. I can't change the resolution before I load the game.

Is anybody common with this problem?

I'm getting a similar problem with Cossacks: European Wars. Have it on disk but couldn't play it on Windows 7 as it kept getting a "dmcr error". Bought it on steam and it worked fine for the first day but now whenever I play it it runs for a few minutes and then crashes and says "dmcr stopped working". £3.99 well spent...

Same problem here ... no solution found yet. It happen when you set resolution higher then 1024x768, then when you start this game again you lost chance to change resolution and game crashe everytime you start playing.

In the internet it says, you should rename your video file in the cossacs file to for example "video1" and then it shoul work
