@zombie-flesheater
Thanks! :)
And let's not forget that the player isn't the one comitting acts of violence.
Outlast 2 has never officially received the classification AO, the developers have selected during the development the most suitable scenes to have a M rating and have then re-added some of this content (probably others belonged to previous versions of the game and have not been able to) only for the PC version. The "preventive censorship" like that of Outlast 2 is the most prevalent on most games, also Resident Evil 7 used this method.

None of those are even relevant to this situation, as none of them made promises to the PC crowd, specifically, and the Indie title even fixed it for the PC crowd instead of bowing to a contract..
Um, it is worse than that, we found out more, you apparently, missed, read the last post in this thread..

So many things don't make sense on Resident Evil 7, your leg is cut off with a shovel or a chainsaw, you get it back in a few seconds and walk as if nothing had happened, your hand is cut off, you walk for minutes with the stump that spurts blood but you doesn't bleed to death and so on.
Indeed, and not everyone was in love with it.. https://youtu.be/L813q39qtEs
