Worth keeping in mind. But it plays VERY different to that, just as an FYI. Keep an eye out for the semi-official guide, coming soon to the Spaera community hub! :steamhappy:

If I had to describe Spaera, it's would be "Pokemon Puzzle meets Tetris Battle Guiden with a hint of Puyo." Having played all three at different stages of my life, this is seriously one of my favourite games of all time.

Actually, it's Tetris 2 (NES, GB, SNES) meets Tetris Battle Gaiden (Super Famicon) - without the Tetris 2 cascade reactions though (in Tetris 2 each piece forms a unity regarding cascade reactions unless it breaks apart by horizontal or vertical match 3 clears). I can't see any influence of Pokemon Puzzle League and Puyo Puyo (actually I suggested using the Puyo Puyo match 4 clear mechanics combined with cascade reactions).

BTW Pokemon Puzzle League was originally called Tetris Attack - Tetris is omnipresent.

I never played Tetris 2 myself, so I went with the Panel de Pon/Pokemon Puzzle/Tetris Attack plus Puyo comparison due to the match 3 mechanic and the focus on setting on combos in advance. Looking into it though, Tetris 2 does seem like a more apt comparison.
