What is the wagon fort for?

It gives you a defensive wall when you are attacked. Enemy units must then run around it and can only enter from 1 direction. Meaning that you can place all your cavalry and infantry in the opening and markmen behind. Giving you a massive advantage.

No, it doesn't affect your speed.

It's just a bunch of stationary wagons lined up in a circle for some protection if you want to use them.

Like sand bags and trenches were used in WWI, WWII.

true its a nice fortifications on wheel, but it useful also to use when u move escort caravans and cattles.

It's useful for defending attacks, and stops your men being directly charged if you keep ranged men behind the wall, and only send out your melee/cavalry.
well dang I dont even use tactics in this game.. I just sort of.... charge:P and then bam... somehow I made a nation.... nation grew big.... and then it got destroyed....

i could rip apart a much larger army then mine with a wargon fort. so long as my army does not cosist of horsemen.
