I remember reading somewhere after you complete the delunge you die. How is this possible?

Considering the game throws you to the main menue at the end of the "False Dmitry" questline, I would say you get a 'nice' epilog - again like Dmitry about 7 rows - which tell you, you died in an assassination. Game Over. Main quests don't end well if you want to play open end afterwards.

I finished the achievement - and the campaign afterwards - and the deluge ends with you becoming king. You don't have to do the "Final Border" quest afterwards, which ends with you being assasinated by someone who claims to act in the name of your initial friend, the frenchman. While France assassinating another great power wouldn't be the strangest thing, being a catholic superpower - ergo their ally - that just threw out the protestant Swedish crown and subdued the last orthodox superpower and people, a lot might want you dead and the Commonwealth of Three break apart. But most likely not France...

France is definitely a likely suspect. Clermont was a bodyguard of Cardinal Mazarin, whose mentor Cardinal Richelieu allied France with Sweden. Although he is a Catholic, he was more concerned about a strong catholic neighbour (Ferdinand II) and chose to ally his country with a protestant country (Sweden). He is a French first before a Catholic, and hence I think it is very likely that in this game Cardinal Mazarin was not happy with a united Polish country (Catholic or not it does not matter) just like how his mentor would have taught him.
