Tactical Battle Map

I have read several times that there is a tactical map/minimap in the game and that you can activate it by pressing Backspace while in battle. Unfortunately, this does not work for me, even if I assign the command to another key. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix this?

I withdraw my question. After switching language to English and back, deactivating and activating windowed mode, activating and deactivating edit Mode and after several restarts it somehow works now.
