If you already own both, then try both out. Both are worth playing if you like the gameplay I think.
You will be killed by a single gun shot, many, many times, throughout the campaign.
You'll get the hang of it, eventually, and learn how to avoid gunfire better, but it's still tough.
Warband is too easy. I find Fire & Sword much more challenging. Especially on the hardest settings. The AI on the campaign map will press you harder. And on the battlefield they will snipe you.
You really have to be careful and know what you're doing, or you'll die fast.
There's a chance you'll just rage quit/uninstall this game.
I also like the units, and unit upgrade system much better in Fire & Sword.
I wrote this a few posts down: why I think F&S is better than Warband. http://steamcommunity.com/app/48720/discussions/0/135511379836825941/
The key point is that contrary to what many people claim, F&S is better balanced and more well-thought out, no argument there. People often confuse Warband with its mods. It's just less tedious overall, and armies are more unique as you can only recruit non-mercs from the nation that you belong to. In Warband heroes level up so fast that your main MC is forced not to take any party skills and only focus on charisma or combat regardless of how you play. In F&S more options are viable. Also in Warband you are likely going to have every faction fighting everyone else, factions being eliminated quickly on their own, and lords disappearing over time. It's not well suited for a long campaign.
Unless you want to play with mods in which case Warband is a better choice, with vanilla F&S trumps Warband. You own this game already so go with F&S.
Warband adds those
Fire and Sword is set in the real world ,it removes getting marryed and starting your own faction ,but it adds muskets, it gives the factions more small parties of men along with the larger ones ,it also allows you to send your own caravans which is helps you get a lot of money early on ,it also adds mercenary camps, and it makes so that your party can get sick, it allows you to make wagon forts to protect you when attacked
Sorry if non of this made sense I kind of just listed off evey thing that came to mind also note that I only got these games in November and I just read that you bought both so writing this seems like a waste but that was probably the best choice
Thanks for the information
