My PC crashed. Had to do a reinstall. So now have lost Cossacks. How do I get to download it again?

Hi why do I have to keep re installing steam in order to see my game library? and why do I have to re install my game that's already on my system having played it only yesterday!? as it shows how long I was able to play the game I saved my game but now got to do another install to same location. when I click on the icon on my desktop first I had to re install steam, log on and then re install the game or if already logged on its either do that again or when clicking on the game icon on my desktop then going to the game install dialog box to re install a game that I already have and played only moments earlier. Doing this all the time before I can just go play the game will become very tedious. I wanted to check out the sound I am wondering if doing the same for the display of the game to then do it for the sound file when I can find it and troubleshoot that maybe as mentioned the Direct x file is also incompatible due to it requires an older version of it in order for it to work. these little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would probably not exist if the original creators were still in business and updating drivers dose not mean they are any better as it overwrites older existing drivers maybe there should be some automation here for example rather than overwrite the drivers with a new version but to add them to a driver library from which a game would access the library and in doing so enable that particular game to work this in turn negates us from ever doing the time warp yeah! As you click on a game it searches for what it needs to be able to run and hey presto! no more headaches and enjoy just playing your games =) the rest of the system will use whatever drivers it needs as and when it needs them and run in the background because each driver has its own channel if you like and whatever software needs that particular driver all it got to do is connect to that driver and use the corresponding channel for it. just a thought what do you think? stay safe at all times =)

the word blotted out by hearts was not a expletive or bad word 'ni-gg-le-s' may be I should use another alternative word like 'issues' or 'problems' this word means a little problem that is persistent or recursive/ repetitious or tedious little issues or simple /tricky or difficult tasks which could have been sorted out better.
