transparency issue/ character on black background fix

I have found a fix that works for me (windows), hope it also works for you!

if you have NVidia control panel, go to manage 3d settings and press restore defaults.
me personally I had DSR factors on to scale my screen resolution and I believe this is what might've been causing that black screen/ transparency issue.

just try reset everything and see if things works :)

i'm having the same issue on linux mint, im not sure what the solution or equivalent to this fix would be :/
