Can't access settings bar?

I just downloaded the game, customized my character and got to the part where it prompts me to right click them for them to start counting typing. Not once have i seen the little settings bar that allows you to pin it to the top of your screen or change what the character is doing. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried full screening vs windowing it and nothing has worked. I do have a dual monitor so im not sure if it's somehow lost in the void or what? but when i close and restart it just keeps going back to the prompt for me to right click and have the character track my typing.
