black screen

when i first got the demo, everything works fine, characters appear on top of everything else, windows tab, games, and even drawing programs. but the next day i started my laptop the screen went black when i open the game. the characters are there and i can press on apps, but the screen is black so i cant see anything behind the characters anymore. now i cant run it unless i want to stare at a black screen with my characters. i cant see anything else
