The games unfinished and is using free assets from the unity store. the music is looping and repeditive and over all its broken. If this game was more polished or even said to be early development i would let it pass but this is sold as a completed game. Also the loading time is like 3mins for a single level.

0/10 not worth the time or cash

Watching the trailer, and in the first moments of gameplay, I couldn't quite decide what to make of it. It was telling me how cool the game was and how great the music was, as incredibly basic gameplay and very normal music played behind it. Was it serious? Was this an ironic hipster retro game, with telling me how cool and "juice" it was part of the schtick? Or was it really sincere about all this?

I was hopeful that it was the former, but after playing a few levels, I think it's the latter. I'm pretty sure this is some student or beginner gamemaker's first project, which they just released on Steam. The little spaceman main character is fairly unique, but the setting and enemies are very generic. Jumping feels odd and your hitbox is huge, making jumping over enemies more difficult than it should be. And, since you can't attack enemies, jumping over them is all you can do. The little nippy worm guys are obviously enemies, but do no damage. I fell down a bottomless pit off the screen on level 3 or 4, and though I presumably died, the level didn't restart. Before gameplay even begins there's a loading screen that lasts a good 30 seconds or so longer than you'd expect.

So yeah, it's glitchy, incredibly basic, and doesn't work as well as it should. You probably don't need to play it.

Okaaay, half of my playtime was good Loading screen, beware Rust you got a decent competition here in loading time.

In rest of my 5 min. gameplay we can notice that level designs are awful and not very much calculated, you trigger every second if not every trap with big head of his.

Save your money, this game is surely going out for free any day now.

I'll just take back my 99%, thank you very much.

Yellow: The Yellow Artifact is a short platformer game where you have to collect a key (and coins) and reach a door. There are ~20 levels total and each level can be completed in less than 1 minute.

I recognize some of the graphics from Kenney's[kenney.nl] asset (yes, they are free, in case you're wondering) and i actually love it. Sadly, the fonts doesn't match with the graphic at all and the coin counter uses a plain black font.

This game has a good set of relaxing music. I really love listening to it while playing the game.

The game loads very slowly after you press "start" button to start a new game. There is no tutorial so people have to figure out that you have to walk using arrow keys (no wasd control and you can't rebind the keys). You also have to learn (by yourself) that you can't kill the enemy (not even by jumping at them) and you have a limited amount of heart that will be reduced when you touch the enemies (might be different at a certain level, but it's usually 3 hearts). The character can "jump" which looks like floating in the air (because it jumps very slowly), although you can't "jump" down to the platform below you. The game collisions aren't too great either; sometimes, you can fall down when you're walking on a straight platform with a little gap on it (even though you didn't fall on the previous gap) and while you'll hardly fall down if you're on the edge of the platform.

You'll have to collect a key to go to the next level by going through a door. Before you proceed to the next level, you can also collect some coins to increase your score (which i don't know what the purpose is since the score doesn't even displayed after you finish the game). There are some enemies which will move left and right (or up and down) and you have to time yourself to not getting hit. Your heart will be replenished when you run out of health and/or proceed to the next level, so you can force your way through the enemies as long as you have enough heart to reach the door.

There is a menu button on the top left or right of the game (the location changed in a certain level). However, this button will throw you back to the main menu without confirmation at all and the worse part is, the game doesn't save. You have to redo the game if you accidentally pushed the button out of curiosity.

While most of the levels are different from each other, the levels become quite similar starting from level 15. It's like the same world with a slightly different platform placement and key location.

I don't think you should buy a game that can be completed this fast. The game also have some problem, especially with the collision.

Yellow: The Yellow Artifact is an absolutely horrible platformer. I only have negative things to say about it.

This is a basic need for any good platformer, and this game leaves it out.

It took me a whole 10 minutes to complete this game. That was with collecting all the coins and dying several times. The extra time spent in-game was me idling for the trading cards from this game.

For some reason, the game loads all of the levels when you click play (which is why it takes so long). If it loaded each level individually, when you got to them, then there wouldn't even be any loading screens needed.

The levels are as big as the screen; they don't scroll. Enemies are placed in odd spots, which are sometimes unreachable or awkwardly positioned. Some levels are reused and the coins and enemies are the only things that are rearranged.

The only option the game has is to toggle fullscreen mode, which is on the main menu. However, you can't change the volume of the music or sound effects.

I'm not sure how many tracks there are, but in my 10 minute of playtime, I only heard two. One of them was just looping and sounded horrible. The other one, although not looping, sounded horrible as well.

The sound effects are 8-bit style and don't sound. There is a way to make good sounding 8-bit effects, but this game doesn't do that. Also, some things don't have sound effects while others do (ex. no effect for taking damage or completing a level).

Although I like when games implement Steam achievements, I don't necessarily mind when they don't. However, the description of this game on Steam says that it includes achievements, when it actually doesn't.

There is a button with 3 horizontal slashes in the top right of the game screen. Buttons like that are common in mobile games and usually take you to a pause menu. Instead, the button in this game takes you to the main menu. If you click play again, you have to restart the game.

An example of this is when your character runs into a door. He will run a little in the door and then teleport back out.

When you press the jump button, your character stops moving for a short period of time. It makes jumping feel awkward and can cause you to miscalculate some jumps.

Most of Kenney's CC0 graphics are good for placeholders, but have no place in a published title.

You get 3 hearts per level. If you lose a heart, you become invincible for a short time. If you lose all of your hearts, you restart the level. You can just run through the entire level and win because of the invincibility.

I will try to express how i felt in the game in long story short.
The games rating is i have to say 2/10 and i DO NOT RECCOMEND the game no matter what!

Overall: You can find this kinda similar games on internet but this is much worse buy it on sale for cards. Wait for 99% discount.

Should be called "Brown" because this is a huge piece of sh*t. "Explore big world" it says. I literally beat the entire thing in less than 8 minutes, including trying to figure out a way to change keybindings (you can't) and accidentally going back to the main menu and having to sit through a ridiculously long load screen for what amounts to SNES graphics.

You collect coins for no reason. There is no score. You get three hits before you have to restart the level, but you have infinite tries. At the end, I got a fake Blue Screen of Death that I think was supposed to be funny, but it wasn't. That's it. No way to exit the game at that point either, just Alt+F4. Game description says there are achievements, but there aren't. Literally garbage.

Beat this within minutes. Super short game collecting coins that do nothing not even for points. This might be a good game for a little kid to play and practice on, but for anyone else its not worth the time or money.
