Fruit Ninja VR
Looks cool, what about Raskulls?
Hey Halfbrick. I'm a huge fan going back to your XBLIG titles, and the original releases of Fruit Ninja, Monster Run, and Jetpack Joyride. There aren't many teams left in Australia so I have a lot of admiration for you guys to be able to pull it off.

My absolute favourite Halfbrick title is Raskulls, which happens to be the only notable title you've made not available on a future-proof piece of hardware. Raskulls would be extremely well suited to PC, where lots of indie titles have small but dedicated racing and competitive communities.

I know that the company has pivoted and moved on and probably has no plans to revisit Raskulls, and that obviously the window to make the largest commercial impact has passed. So I have no illusions about you guys releasing a PC port and selling ten million copies.

But it would be really great if some day, when you guys had an intern or were looking for a training project for a junior coder or otherwise had a point in time where you had a coder free to take on a short project, you considered porting Raskulls. One of the great business opportunities for Steam is that it's a good place to build up passive, ongoing income, so the initial cost in man-hours to do the port will certainly pay itself off over the long term. A few thousand sales at a time, this passive income adds up in a way that most console platforms can't compete. There's plenty of bizdev case studies out there that make this argument and I am sure if you reach out to your peers in the development community, they'll echo what I say. I myself am a programmer (although not in the gaming industry), so I have a good appreciation of the arguments why you might not pursue this, but I do think it's worth considering.

Besides the business case, it also helps keep your IP alive and for fans like myself who have long since unplugged the Xbox 360 it gives us a measure of security that we'll be able to do a replay years down the line. Consider that since Raskulls' original release, streaming culture has taken off and I believe that with the right marketing strategy, the game could find a second life with the endorsement of speedrun or even casual party streamers on Twitch and YouTube.

I don't expect that this message would suddenly flip a light switch and have someone greenlight a port, but I would really appreciate knowing that someone at the company read this and passed it along up the chain of command, and even for just 5 minutes the idea was kicked around.

Good luck with Fruit Ninja VR.

Hi Stumpokapow.

We are really happy to hear you are such a fan. I also love Raskulls. I helped create it back in the day before it went to XBox. I would also love to see it on Steam, and will mention it to the rest of the company at some point soon. It would make for a very interesting eSports game :)

Bumping this thread, please bring Raskull to Steam its been 12 years I need more Raskulls.
Thanks for bumping. I'd still love a Raskulls port, and it's still one of the XBLA games I most miss playing.

Thanks for bumping, really reiterating that it'd be really cool to have Raskulls on Steam and I continue to think with the right push it could be popular with streamers, speedrunners, and also just with friends looking to play multiplayer games together.

I've been dreaming of the day it comes to PC ever since I left console please i need to feel the infinite childhood energy i got every single time i see or play a round

If I could, I'd go back to console just to play Raskulls again. Even if I dislike playing on controller, that wouldn't stop me

We need this.

Still hoping that Raskulls will be on PC honestly. One of the best games I've played on X360 to this day.

Great to see more Raskulls fans in the thread :) The Xbox 360 XBLA store is closing soon, which means it'll no longer be possible for new players to play Raskulls, except through piracy.

Halfbrick re-launched/re-updated/VR-ed and/or "made available on more than one piece of hardware" every single one (I think?) of their games... except Raskulls. I sense some nonsense in company's decision making oooooooor expect Raskulls multiplatform re-release in month(s) following X360 store closure.
/wishful thinking
