Even just mentioning it to community buddies netting a sale or two might do much in the long run eh
That said, we could be looking at 6-8 years before doing a proper sequel becomes feasible. I have other games I want to do first.
This speeds up if the game makes enough money for me to start hiring staff. Maybe if I get a really big break as far as coverage goes, that'll happen, but I can't say for sure.
I would appreciate some additional romances of all sorts, though.
(strict note, I haven't played, but I've read the boards about romance, and the sprite list is sort of available, and does favor men, from what I've seen. If this isn't correct, and the naked monsters are evenly split, ignore that part, please)
I am interested in making a second video of Bastard Bonds post campaign given what I’ve seen from guides and screenshots (I’m not very cleaver to discover everything myself.) I do love bring up See No Evil when I can, given my love for that story having a narrative purpose for gay demonic sex rather than just be a story with sex shoehorned in there. I’m not a big Youtuber at all but I love sharing my passion for stuff I like (or things that could have been better…Citadel.)
I'd love to see the same character creation in a sequel OR have even more added to it (But if it's exactly the same as this one that's cool!) I appreciated the nudity actually. It's context was taken care of properly in that sometimes it was sexually relevant, othertimes it was attributed to the atmosphere and culture of the island in that it was not inappropriate or taboo. For once a game with nudity that doesn't have to necessarily do with sexuality, or if it did, it was realistic.
Keep the variety of monsters and add more even! I liked being able to recruit monsters and then rebuild them to what I liked. Ettin spellcaster? Sure. Melee criting tank witch? Done. Sure there might not be ideal builds but anything can work. That goes into what I like as well about the skill/stat system. It's very organic and allows for many types of builds so that regardless of where you're at, you will never be short of a skill, or if you are, could grind it out. I would have liked having a way for a human to get some monster traits, or being able to remove monster traits (within reason) and adding others but I promise I would never have a problem if I never saw that in a future game.
I hope a sequel happens.
A great world was created. It tapped into cultures that weren't all fantasy and whimsy. We have the veneration of female orcs that both gives them privilege but also imprisons them, wether they're a woman or not. We have a dark island with criminals and heroes working hand and hand. We have a history of royal corruption that spans kings and queens and their relationship with a bad entity, a biological terrorising subway system birthed from dark designs.
We can't throw this all out on just one game. I need to see the other lands referenced by this. I need to see what other terrors were created in the name of technological advancement. This game has a steam-punk feel to it at times and I want to see a technological breakthrough become a supernatural terror. the game has more of a horror feel to it which I appreciate. I need to see more excellently written character to befriend, regardless of clothing options and proportions, because I know they'll be written well.
This is my two-cents (or like dollars at this point).
