Bastard Bonds

Love Potions, Mood Rings and Bonds (ANSWERED) Thanks Grimnir
Okay, so I have been experementing with my mood ring in order to learn when my bandmate is ready to have a campfire scene. Discovered what the colors mean

Black-Hates you (but never actually got this. Searched from the guide)
Red-Unbonded
Green-Will have a campfire scene in the next turn if you talk to them
Blue-Bonded

White-You highlighted yourself

According to the guide Love Potions resets the pox to max (black to red). I tried to see if my green ring will be altered in using the potion and it did. Turned my green ring into red but when I came to the stronghold the scene still persists.

My questions are as follows
1)How do I get my band mate to hate me (black pox magic)
2)Do love potions increases the affection or just resets it only to red (unbonded). What are your experiences in using love potions, did it help or done nothing at all

If you recruit a generic hesitating enemy into your party in the middle of a battle and then they get killed it puts them in the black/hatred status I believe.
So I assume letting allies get defeated in battle lowers their bond?

Also apparently using the statue in the magic element tutorial area to reset their levels lowers their bond as well, but thats just what the guide says and I can't verify it.

Gonna try that thanks. My puppy doesn't like me and he is the second highest member on my team because I take him anywhere, he is the only one that I couldn't bond yet 10/11

There are two ways to make your relationship go stale -

1. As mentioned above, respeccing someone who doesn't trust you will cause them to go stale.

2. Using a bandmate a lot WITHOUT talking to them at your base will also cause them to go stale.

I find that if I never talk to my wife, that relationship goes stale too. Not a good idea. You also have to actually listen. That took me longer to learn :)

So I bonded with Ernest Borgnina last night. Can I respecc her if needed now?

Just checked, the bond is permanent when you respec at the fundaments shrine. But remember the character will automatically become level one. Usually I do this to sprites I am no longer intersted in and make them Labor horses for strongholds

When you say level one, do they really go back to level one without any unspent skill points? I thought it was like a respec, you take them someplace and they get all their points back to spend how you like....Why would anyone respec someone and lose all that hard work it took to level them up in the first place?

You do not get your skill points back when you respec a character, except for the initial 10 points spent for a level 1 character.

If you have high-level areas available, catching them up with not take long.

You level them up quickly by doing higher maps
Like a level 1 character can easily catch up to level 9 if you play a level 17 map (depending on how many monsters in the area).

Okay, what about Rosaline? If you respec her, does she lose Allure? Same with monsters. Do they lose their "class" skills if you respec?

After you leave and distribute points all personal traits come back.

I know there's a penalty for unique-npcs, but what if I reset like a created npc of mine, or a tamed monster? They may hate but does it affect anything?
