Also you yourself can be a criminal genuinely guilty of(amongst many other things) buggery, indecency, slavery, and rape. And the perk for being a rapist/slaver is actually pretty good for a DPS build. Just sayin'.

Not a lot of mature stuff in the game. Mostly just bad humor, some nudity and suprising amount of enemies wears no pants.

Most reviews state that the dev has a queer perspective. I kinda wish he wasn't so "in your face" about it. Main menu screen is a good example - you have two versions - one with clothing and the other one with everybody naked - and can choose it in the options screen. Basicly it depicts a devilish character in judges clothing holding a male and a female on a chain-leash.

Softcore pornography hurts the game. I don't mind a sex-joke or two but that's too much.

Just keep that in mind if you're going to show the game to a friend ;)

Sometimes it's nice to be able to play a game where it's an option to be queer without needing to think about it, instead of being the entire point of the game, like people seem to always assume it is when there's the tiniest bit of it and start calling it things like "Softcore pornography" because they're used to everything always being specifically for them.

Unhappy nude people of both sexes in chains, with a creepy devil-like character in the background as a main splashscreen. Sigh. It doesn't matter if it's two guys, girls or devils. I mind that I'm forced to deal with it and it cheapens the experience.

It's like watching a cheap horror movie - you know there's gonna be some needless nudity or sexual content there, but you're not there to see that - you want to see a maniac with a chainsaw chase the couple in a forest or some workshop.

Yes, I checked afterward and know about the other titles. Still hoping the guy tones it down a bit. I mean aside from the splashscreen and two or three early promotional artworks this game is pretty "clean".

But you may be right - it may just be me - I don't like sex in games at all.

I did not know about this until you mentioned you can turn it on in settings. You are certainly not forced to deal with it, that's why it's off by default. And inside the game I did not notice anything going out of its way to depict unneeded pornography, just normal prison island with things going as they could.

From what I see in the game - aside from nudity and some jokes (both of these I actually find funny/entertaining) there's not a lot of such content, which is fine with me.

Yes, you can change the main menu splashscreen in options.
It just makes a poor first impression. I know that the Dev is a kinky gaymer, but I'd like to see the game achieve great success and for that toning down the splashscreen and other graphics outside of the game is in order - because simply they do not add value. And I think the Dev knows this because he posted on his twitter the splashscreen a while back and wondered if he went overboard with it - that's why we have two versions right now to choose from.

I just think that saying that this splashscreen is a good example is wrong when you have to intentionaly turn it on. Compaining about something that you turned on and did not like (even if it explains in options what you are doing) is kinda weird. So what if there is a nude version there? You don't have to deal with it if you leave clothes on. It does not have value to you, it may have some to someone else.

Do you also find that the ability to make your character naked is also bad? What if you add Indecent attribute to that character? I find it nice and hilarious that there is finally an rpg where pants and bras are not glued to the character.

For whatever it's worth, the nudity on the title screen (in its original, nude version) is because it is an interpretation of The Devil, one of the Major Arcana in Tarot. The devil depicts two nude figures, a man and a woman, chained to the throne of a devil. Their chains are loose, and could easily be removed, implying that they are not being held there physically but rather are choosing to remain chained, because the facade of imprisonment allows them to avoid responsibility for themselves.

Their bondage is not legitimate.
