What detimins the Bond Item a character will give?
EDIT 1 - Looks like it's not based on personality or alignment,
I made an Insane Nutral Maledicus character with all 10 starting points in blast,
saved before they gave me their bond items,
then got the item, it was a weird grey pice of metal,
with what looks like a ring so It can go on a necklace.
I then quit, used the "Character Template" option,
to change his personality to Lewd, and alignment to chaotic and he gave me the same Item.

EDIT 2 - Changed his crime to Indecent,
like another character to see if he'd give the same item they did,
and he gave the same grey metal charm he did before.

EDIT 3 - I think it's randomly chosen when you recruit them.
If so there would be no fast way to test that.

The item that you are given for bonding with a character is dependent on the character giving it to you. The premade characters all have specific ones, but custom characters or recruited enemies are somewhat random. The exact form of the bond token is largely irrelevant though, as they all mean the same thing and fulfill the same purpose.

It might be doing with the personality, but only when they join the squad.
I made two Terse characers, and got both their Bond items,
which where both a conch shell.
I'll try to do more testing.

Since this isn't a game-affecting thing, as stated before, I'll just tell you. The precise form that a non-story character's bond item takes is determined numerologically. The person's name is reduced to a series of numbers which are added together recursively until there is just one number left.

For example a character named "Ed" has "5, 4" or 9.
A character named "Eddie" has "5, 4, 4, 9, 5", or 27, which is "2, 7", also 9.

I might have used the ASCII character values but the end result is the same. It's the person's name that decides what they give you when bonded. A character with the same name will always give the same item.

What bonds items can you get?
And what number corresponds with what bond item?

I don't remember, but it also doesn't matter. There are 10 of them.

The possibilities are : A Broken Sword, A Drinking Flask, An Old Coin, A Conch, A Bell, A Bead Necklace, A Pelt, A Bandanna, A Penanular Brooch, and a Die.

So Ed and Eddie would give Bond item number 9?
