It's not the first thread on the subj. Hopefully, devs'll get through with it. I don't get the idea of starting new KS just for translation though - the money from people that wait for it should be enough to cover it, right?

As a Chinese player living in an English-speaking country, I would love to see an English release for this game and for more people to be able to play it. From what I've played so far, all of the dialogue and names (the character names are pretty much already done) can translate pretty easily into English, and a skilled professional familiar with RPG tropes and themes can definitely do the text justice and make it relatable to western and other audiences. Even an user interface translation to start with so more people can get into the game would be great, and the money from the additional sales from non-Chinese players may help cover the cost of translation (or perhaps a crowd-funding initiative). It's rare and heartening to see such a responsive and responsible development team. High quality visual novels with no gameplay and JRPGs have found success outside of their domestic markets through Steam after the addition of English and sometimes other languages, and I'm looking forward to seeing Pastelia Stories succeed as well.

Here's hoping it happens. We need more Chinese games in english! There's only so many times I can play through Tales of Wuxia games and the Gate of Firmament again lol.

Yeah its a whole new culture that we havent been able to explore with many games yet, if many of them got translated they might be on the level of jrpgs in a decade or so.

The thing is, I , and several with me, asked about translating this game into English, before we bought it. And the devs said they should.
Now it is too late to get a refund, and we hear nothing about translations anymore.

I definitely should have waited, so I can only blame myself.
There are several reasons that can have prevented the devs from doing what they planned.
I do hope for an update from them about what happens, or what don`t happen, though.
So please devs,any news ?

The game is still in EA. An english version is planned but it probably won't happen until the game actually gets to version 1.0.
