Leaderboard cheaters? 1rd and 2nd place

first place - 26 million+ essences, nickname functionend
second place - 25 million+ essences, nickname emoticons

Is this a real result or cheating? Has anyone played with these players together?

3rd place - almost 13.8 million essence, it took about 4700 hours in the game to get that much, and I played with this player personally and believe this result, but the first two places are in doubt.
Did they really play about 9000-10000 hours and at the same time played only in the tropics, where there are many legendary water lilies and you can collect about 3000-4000 essence per hour.

The first place is legit, they were seen multiple times by people. They spent most of their time alone and played all day long, every day until they got the first rank. People checked the leaderboard a lot in the last year and their growth was fast but steady.

Those two have held the first and second places for literal years too. Toni (the other mod) was keeping track of them for a while.
Leaderboard concerns are welcome though because every now and then we do get players who hack it :/

Realistically, I don't understand how it can be done but I had conversations with hardcore gaming friends, who have said that it is common for some players to pay others to play for them when they are away. In order to get the achievements they want. I am not implying our top two did this. I am saying it might be done this way. I really don't understand why anyone would do this. In my opinion, the accomplishment isn't worth much if one has not put in the work themselves, and it can be lost if one is not working it.

The entire top 10 except the 2nd place is legit. I know many of them and played with almost all. Number one legit logged in daily for hours to grind for it - watched that player personally. It is quite possible if you have a goal and focus on one game - sure you will need time, but some people have it.
Others just played consistently for 6-7 years so it shouldn't be a surprise.

The only person in question is an emoji person, 2nd place - and, again, can be legit too. Hopefully, after dealing with important gaming moments like updates and connection, M&D will take care of leaderboards.

Legit in everybody teams. Some people just dedicate more times to Meadow than other games. Hence the reward.

It would be pretty cool if the leader board was reset every once in a while but every one who was ever in the lead could keep the white eagle

8th place - nickname tarutaru is a cheater. Just a couple of days ago he wasn’t even in the top 15, and then suddenly he fell to 8th place)) Also, based on his achievements, it is clear that he simply hacked some achievements and apparently the essence record too :D

Sadly it's not a cheater, but a bug. After the newest update, the alternative accounts people used to beta test Meadow on (or play in general) synchronised with the files of their main account. Now the alternative account has the same essence/progress as the main account. We had multiple people already report this to the dev team.
