How are Flowers and Crystals formed exactly?

Like I would really like to know how.. everything works. Different for every server, animal, randomly generated, only in specific area, limited, unlimited, etc.

Basically I am a bit worried that I won't unlock everything because I am taking excess crystals... I mean I'd love to be able to give them to my other animals but that involves completely exiting the game, so I just take them anyways when I can't use them anymore. Dx

As far as I know, they are unlimited but different for every server, and seem pretty random in location.

Crystal spawns, for gold ones at least, i've seen in more restricted locations but pinks and blues seem to spawn in a varied amount of spots.

Flowers appear to spawn wherever, i've found them in/on bushes and rocks, though fabled flowers are a lot more restricted in location much like gold crystals

but it is different for every server, but not for every animal. The animals you play with on that server will see the same spawns you do
