How to Unlock Animals (The Plain and Simple of It)

So I'm sure some of you are wondering, "How can I unlock the other animals?! I can only be a Badger Cub! This game sucks!" Hold your horses there, skippy. Here is a list of the animals you can unlock in the game:

Unlockable Animals In-Game:
Goat
Frog
Rabbit

"But Metal, I saw a Lynx and an Eagle in the trailer! Aren't they unlockable? You suck!" Easy now. I was getting to that. Here comes the tough part, in order to unlock other animals, you need to buy previous games from the Shelter Series.

Unlockable via Purchase of Games:

Adult Lynx (Shelter 2)
Adult Badger (Shelter)
Cub Lynx (Paws)
Cub Bear (Shelter + Shelter 2 + Paws)

"Aren't you forgetting one....?"

Ah yes, the Eagle. Well judging by what people are saying about it, it's not really worth it, since you can't gather essence. But if you truly want to unlock it....

How to Unlock the Eagle:

Buy everything made by the Shelter company.


Yeah. Good job. Anyways, how to unlock the other animals that don't require you to buy anything? There are gold pieces on the map, and you can usually find them in black rocks, which will require you to team up with other animals. However, I actually found one in a cave, which leads me to believe they can also be found in hard to reach places in the world.

I think you get the badger mom with shelter 1 (the one with the badgers) and lynx mom with shelter 2 (the one of lynx)! :3

Okay then don't buy the games. Look, it's not required that you HAVE to play the animals. But if that's what you want, then there's a little cash that needs to come out of the pocket. I'm sorry, but that's how it works.

By obtaining the gold crystals around the map or by breaking the black obelisks with others players and obtaining those gold crystals as a reward from it. You can a blue one as well, which will help to unlock you new skin.

Hey there!

You unlock the Fox and the Pheasant like all other normal non-premium/exclusive animals. You just get these two by playing and collecting yellow crystals!

Be advised this thread is also very old!

And they're both unlocked via the gold shards/pieces.

Gonna lock this because it's old and the FAQ has this info in it anyway.
