Can't find any crystals

Back in october I was able to find some crystals but I stopped playing.
Today I spend more then 1 hour searching for crystals and I didn't find one single crystal.
For some reason I have the feeling you patched them out of the game with last patch.
Can somebody confirm my adoption?

I think you were just unlucky because i have no problem finding them in the usual spots, like caves or mountains.

The best way of farming them in my opinion is to jump in an empty cove and sweep the green cave (the biggest one with 3 entrances including one intrance in the winter biome across the waterfall lake). Once you have searched completely the cave just switch to another cove and search the cave again.

The upper waterfall has some tricky spots. Finding them is easy, but collecting... Hours of platforming fun.
