would be pretty cool to see ingame, though I'm not exactly sure if they're adding animals that didn't appear in the Shelter series
Hey there!
I never heard nor seen that they restricted/limited themselves to animals that had already appeared on previous M&D titles, so that's why I went on with suggesting this. Plus, even if it was like that, who knows, maybe they might like the idea :P Hopefully! I think it'd be something different for sure.
I had no idea this thing existed for the longest time either, only found out about a year ago :P
Kindest regards,
Rhaonoa.
Though with that said, it's a cool ass animal regardless, and if, by some odd chance, M&D would make different versions of Meadow taking place on different continents with their respective fauna, I would kill to be a maned wolf.
Oh, you can run... but you cannot hide! BWAHAHA >:3c
They're just so darn cute
i love this idea, but it just wouldn't fit in with the shelterverse!! ;;
Plus manned wolves are not particularly adapted to seasonal extremes especially the freezing winters in Siberia where temperatures easily drop down to over -40 degrees Fahrenheit, so by sticking it into a Siberian environment this type of candid would be far out of place. More or less I'd rather see animals native to Siberia be placed into the game instead of just tossing in random animals and causing misplaced wildlife and putting them in habitats that they clearly don't belong in. A few examples of animals that can be introduced into the game could include the following:
-Siberian Tiger
-Snow leopard (their have been instances of populations in southern Siberia and contrary to popular belief they are not exclusive to the Himalayas).
-Woolly Mammoth (I've been wanting a mammoth in this game since release they have already been featured in other shelter games so why can't they be playable in this one? I'd love to see both an adult mammoth and a mammoth calf playable)
-Siberian Salamander (can survive being frozen in solid ice for years plus it would give the frog another amphibian friend in game)
-Wolverine
-Caribou (aka reindeer)
-Common Raven
-Eurasian Eagle Owl
-Blakiston's fishing Owl (the largest owl species in the world)
-Woolly Rhinoceros (if mammoths are being suggested here might as well throw this into the mix as well)
-European/Eurasian Cave Lion (an ice age cave dwelling lion slightly larger then its African cousins that was also native to Siberia)
-and finally Moose just to name a few Siberian natives for inclusion into the game
The main reason why I including the cave lion and Woolly Rhino as well as the mammoth is because it is pretty clear that with the appearance of mammoths in the game the shelter series takes place some time during or at the exact end of the Pleistocene ice age.
