Found The .Pak Password (Zip Archive. Modding)

So i have stumbled across the password for the .pak files and have been doing some sound modding of the weapons, mainly small arms fire.

So i found the password on google. If any modders are out there like me and are itching to fiddle with something here it is: "m,nw0rdk1s;ldscj" Note, after modding files when you go to repack them into the archive your working with you need to "set password"(using winrar) and you also have to make sure you check the "ZIP legacy encription" box, otherwise the game will crash with the new files not being encrypted.

Have fun. I will upload my re-worked small arms fire sound mod as soon as i am happy with it.

Here is a Onedrive link to my small arms sound mod. Please test it out and
you might be pleasantly surprised .

To install simply rename the .Pak archine to "sounds". Then copy pasta into your steamapps/common/Syrian Warfare folder, overwrite existing file ofcourse.

Changes
New sounds for:
AK, AK74, M16, M24, M99, M240, MP5, OSV, PK, SVD, VAL, Brauning, KPVT, NSVT
New grenade launcher sounds. New infantry grenade explosion sound. New metal ricochet sound.

To make your own mod or to install the one i made?

To install, download the file from here https://1drv.ms/u/s!An2_-t_iXE8FiCh7ZMgwJMCGfn8F

Once you have downloaded it rename it to "sounds"

Then move or copy the file into the Syrian Warfare game folder. Which is in Steam/steamapps/common/Syrian Warfare. Overwrite the existing file. Make a backup of it first if you want to keep the old sounds for later use.

I need help with repacking the file.

I'm using 7Zip to pack the file, but the game won't start after I create the mod. Do I need WinRAR specifically?

EDIT: Downloaded WinRAR. Same problem.

All I'm currently trying to do is mod the 'reserves' script for the missions. How in the hell do I get this thing to work? What commands do you plugin to get it to work?

Remember to click the"ZIP legacy encription" box.

When re packing the file you have to "set password" and the zip legacy encryption box is in there using WINRAR. Make sure u tick that box. And set the password to the same one you used to un pack.

Are you setting the password again when you re pack?

Which archive format am I supposed to use?

It offers 3 choices; RAR, ZIP, and RAR4

Hmmm. Well when i did it i just dragged and dropped the files into the archive, i dont remember having to select a format. Whatever the default was i must have used. Let me have a look and see if i can help further.

Edit:

So i looked and the options are greyed out for me. The default is "ZIP" so just use that and see what happens.

If it keeps crashing then i suggest whatever your doing with the scripts, the game doesn't like. I know pretty much nothing about writing scripts so i can't help if thats the issue.
