oh about the game balance, if im not mistaken, the APS thing on warfare game, it is actually not always makin u 100% immune, some missiles still getting through but hit probability by atgm considerably lower..(what a cool and semi realistic feature for 2008 game :D)
A much more interesting extension is the Sarab-1 EO jammer developed in country and used on a variety of vehicles.

based on my experience playing warfare, APS will 100 percent work if ur turret and the front hull is facing the single incoming atgm/rpg, but facing a salvo of those, furthermore if its came from multiple direction simultaneously, then the APS less likely to work
For example, India is currently the largest operator of the T-90, but none of its T-90's have Arena or Shtora. They were instead upgraded with aftermarket Saab LEDS-150 APS systems, acquired seperately (from South Africa/Sweden, and not Russia).
