Dual Swords Stats scaling doubt.
Hi, i have an odd doubt about dual swords, i've completed WoTS with dual swords and odachi, so i leveled up them both at equal rates. But this is not the matter, i'm level 181 and i re-spec my character once already to see how i could get the most Attack while leveling up what stats.

As fas as i know or what most people say, Skill is the stat to go for Dual Swords. The only thing is that i don't understand, with every other stat on default level, if i raise my Str to 99, my dual katanas gained about 300-400 Attack (Don't remember exact number). Then i reset it to default, and try to see Skill at 99, turns out the katanas only gain about 250~ Attack. I'm using the Ichigo-something katanas.
So my question is, isn't Skill supposed to give dual katanas more damage than other stats, as a primary stat?...

You are right dual swords have B+ on Skills but it also has lower bonuses for Heart and Strength.

To complicate things, different swords have different bonuses for Str and Heart, hence why I have asked in my post yesterday about OP stats and diminishing returns.

I totally understand this, which is why when i level up heart, or other stats my odachi/duals get some attack up as well, But in case i didn't explain myself correctly, what i tried to say is, with every other stat at 0 (or say default) and Str 99 it **gained** more Attack than having everything on 0 (default, included SRT) and 99 Skill.
This is what i don't get, since Skill is supposed to have higher scaling for the duals, so it should give more than Str, but it didn't for me. So i'm here trying to figure this thing out

You have the change to attack (strenght) property somewhere.

Yes, I had CTA (Dex AA-) on my Dragon Sword which turned into a wooden sword after re-spec last night :steammocking:

ALL stats that are on different pieces stack, so you'll get a lot of stats by adding it to your gear.

Your stats aren't end game. Level cap for the player is 750 level, you can increase stats above 99 but that doesn't change the cap of the character. After you reach max level a window will pop up will tell that you have reached the max level 750 and now you can spend your extra amrita to "Focus Level"

This is part of the end game along with the almost infinite amount of Abyss levels. You grind out pieces of Ethereal armor and weapons, defile them and add stats to those.

No offense intended to OP but I happen to find this dual swords build just now - just for laughs.

Yeah, looks good for crowd control but he needs a longer chest piece to protect his tummy ;)

Str also affect agility maybe that s the reason

I do have it on my taro tachi, but AFAIK it should not affect other weapons, katana don't have any cta

I have done some testing on scaling. I am using the latest version, so this is 100% accurate;

1. Damage from scaling repeats every 3 levels. For example 7,3,2, 7,3,2 and so on. There is no softcap, so this sequence is the same all the way to level 200. (Actual numbers may be +- 1 because of rounding)

2. The scaling is dependent on weapon level. To get maximum scaling the weapon need to be level 150 or above.

3. Every weapon type have "innate scaling" with 3 stats. Dual swords come in two variants
Skill (B+) , Strength (C+), Heart (D+)
Skill (B+) , Strength (D+), Heart (C+)

4. On a level 150 or above weapon, investing 90 skill points (e.g from lvl 5 -> 95) would net you
B+ = 216 Atk
C+ = 180 Atk
D+ = 144 Atk
This is true for EVERY weapon with innate scaling.

5. Innate scaling will stack 100% with Change to attack(CTA) on
Weapon
Set Bonus
Accessory or armor piece with CTA

6. CTA (B+) is much lower than innate scaling (B+) Shoot me a message if you want those numbers too.

So in other words. The only way your damage would go up by 400, is
A - You accidently looked at the stats for your offhand weapon when allocating skillpoints (they both show at that screen, and you already said you got an odachi with CTA strength)
B - You have CTA (str) on your weapon and overlooked it.
C - You have CTA (str) on your armor set. But this is only found on an ethereal grace set, which you wouldnt have access to.

I go with A :P

One hundred percent sure it's neither of those, I didn't overlook, and I was looking at the dual Katanas, that's why I don't understand this, and the weapon is 150 divine +8, I'm willing to reset and screenshot so you see.
But you know, there's a little icon next to the Melee Weapon 1 and 2 to see the image of the weapon, i'm not that stupid to confuse dual katanas with the odachi :D
