Nioh 1 better or Nioh 2.

I just stared playing Nioh 1 despite owning the game for more than 2 years, but some how, I played Nioh 2 first as soon as I bought it upon release.

I have to say, I find Nioh 2 boss a little more challenging until I fought big bird and toilet paper girl in one of the sub missions. I mean, most of the solo bosses, with the exception of vampire girl in the 2nd region are easier to dodge and fight.

Playing Nioh 1 made me realized that Nioh 2 has a lot of recycled map from Nioh 1. Which is quite disappointing but not game breaking.

For coop, I think Nioh 2 did a better job and the combat system is more cleaner and slightly better. Nioh 1 being the first game is more basic in comparison and so are some of the basic bosses.

Obviously, I like Nioh 2 better. This probably isn't the first time people have made similar topic but for those who are playing this game now and probably had tried Nioh 2. I am curious about your thoughts.

I'd say the second one is better overall, but it doesn't invalidate the first one. There's still plenty of unique content between the two, and some core mechanical differences.

I can't choose between the two. 2 is a more polished game but at the same time it's easier and less "unfair" (I enjoy unfairness in games because they force you to adapt or fight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of your own).

nioh 2 is better but nioh 1 is still solid. i found nioh 2 easier but its probably because i was already familiar with the mechanics after beating nioh 1. the recycled content doesnt bother me, they recycled assets/ideas for awhile now, quite a few of the weapons and moves are from ninja gaiden 2, along with that dlc manspider boss lol. i would be thrilled if you could just import nioh 1 missions into nioh 2.
