tips to deal against humans when use living weapon?
when a human boss use a lw,u cant stagger them, that is my main problem

are there general tips to deal with them?

like how to stop their lw mode, or deplete faster their ki, or amrita gauge, not sure what is for them

alsothis Toyotomi Hideyori, it says when he uses LW, is considered a yokai, so maybe i need other stats for this one

my main stats are strenght, heart and stamina. i use odachi but maybe there is a better weapon for those bosses

i want to clear some abyss floors, but the other day i got stuck against Date Masamune, so the idea is prepare a wepon, armor, magic, whatever to deal with them, except restart the stats haha

my stats. Todo clan

Equip daiba guardian spirit and use GS talisman or moment talisman. This knocks them out of LW. If you do not want to use daiba, I have written a short guide to an easy solution. It’s what I do:

Puzzlefox’s Comprehensive Guide to Not Using Daiba vol 1

Step 1.

Befriend Deo

Step 2.

Make him do it

Enemies like Toyotomi, Maria, and Tachibana are humans who power up but their power ups are not LW. So I.. think..? They can be parried..? I’m not sure about that one.

deostade? i didnt unlock that GS haha

mmm, fought human bosses few times. i try to avoid them

Deostades is the great Guardian Spirit, worshipped in ancient times for his proclivity to offer an aiding hand to Amaterasu when she was cast from the heavens in the form of a dog, and using a spear he borrowed from Izanagi to raise an island in the Pacific for Queen Himiko to reign over.

More rationally, using a GS or Moment Talisman with Daiba-washi will knock them on their back. On it's own, this doesn't remove their LW status - but if you Final Blow them while they're lying on the ground, that will.

They also lose LW if you manage to Ki break them, which isn't the easiest thing in the world, but if you want to go that route, Tonfa are great, and you can throw a Yokai Water Pot at their head to put them in the middle of a Yokai Realm - this doesn't wonderous levels of Ki Damage, but usually isn't worth the effort.

Finally, you _can_ parry a number of their attacks in LW, but it's rather risky as most LW humans are Skill attack happy, most of which cannot be parried. A succesful parry will either knock them out of LW, or hopefully knock them on their back for the Final Blow from option 1.

Toyotomi doesn't go LW, but he follows Yokai rules rather than Human ones. Meaning that stagger-locking him is an utter pain without first Ki-breaking him, and he has access to a number of annoyingly mobile moves if you let him get up to speed. On the upside, this means Confusion on him is highly effective; sadly he's immune to Fire and Lightning, meaning you'll need access to easy Water or Earth to go alongside Wind.

Maria is the odd duck out, like always. What she has operates more like a super-Elemental Talisman, except it's just a pure damage buff with a ranged attack that's an utter pain. She still goes down to Daiba-washi, and you can temporarily stagger/combo lock her until she summons her shiny sword again.

Tachibana just applies a Lightning Talisman to his sword. He kinda-sorta cheats in other ways, in that his Toughness is much higher than it probably ought to be, and the Everlasting Ki from his WotW armor set plays merry hell with Abyss runs. Not exactly the hardest boss, but he's an utter pain until you get used to him.

honestly when facing against humans i just go katana fatal blow route and give them the good parry smack
LPM Jan 14, 2019 @ 7:18pm
mmm, should start at f38 and try some weapons with different bonus for ki breaking

yeah, is like a ng+ the abyss. need to use new magics, items, etc. and learn how to evade haha

I’ll just keep 1-shotting her with lai, that seems to be an effective strategy against her :)

Ki break is fine for awhile but once you start getting into the abyss, don’t bother breaking ki unless you plan on using a confuse setup cause it’s a waste of time. And some bosses like shigipede you really don’t want to break their ki cause you’ll be activating their trap card.

LW humans for the most part aren’t too bad once you get used to fighting them. I’d rather fight any of them versus having to fight Jin. Ishida is a nightmare too if you can’t manage to nuke him while he’s powering up.

as for me, one shotting with strong attack on kusa :^)
puzzlefox Jan 14, 2019 @ 8:13pm
LW kusa strong attack is indeed quite strong. Leaping strike is stronger though ;)

Or you can do my personal favorite with kusa which is use serpent strike which makes them stagger towards you > foot sweep > (switch to dual sword) SotC > finishing blow ;^)

Footsweep following a serpent strike makes enemies unable to avoid being knocked down. It works every time. It even works on Jin and Maria.

Ugh now I want to reroll a kusa build. Especially since I have a few sets of non-Sarutobi gunstick Tonfas, even a pair with wild lions dmg bonus...
kerwell Jan 14, 2019 @ 8:20pm
I like doing leaping strike too, but I prefer the burst of strong over leaping. I think strong goes further than leaping due to more ways to buff strong than there is skill. At least to my knowledge.
LPM Jan 14, 2019 @ 8:28pm
yeah, watched some videos using buffs before a fight. i use the kekkai one haha
LPM Jan 14, 2019 @ 8:30pm
so the trick is use carnage, the bonus for zero ki, etc... mmmm, oka
