sure, might have less weapons, but the amount of different and unique play styles still exist.
level design was fine, probably people who dont like missions type souls like were upset about it as not being an open world.
About weapons You still have many weapon types.
Imo You should play it mostly because one thing which Nioh 1 did better - human enemies boss fights. Nioh 2 has better demon bosses, Nioh 1 has better human bosses. Still You will miss burst counters and yokai abilities so much :/
Also William looks like gigachad - he is so perfect that no possiblity to create own look is understandable.
Just play it as if you were playing a new game, don't constantly compare the two games or you will ruin the experience
Well on PC with cheat engine You can even speed up enemies separately to player to increase difficulty even more.
Whenever I don't use living weapon nioh1 takes more skill than nioh2. Because in nioh 2 I find myself guarding most of time waiting for chance to burst counter so I can attack. Which is a very safe way to play. Also Stamina management is not as important, I can always yokai shift whenever I'm running out of stamina. Enemies are weaker but has a ♥♥♥♥ ton of health. If you love nioh2, then nioh1 is a must play.
