Suddenly had a huge amount of Amrita, normal?

Don't remember what I was doing, just running through the first mission after the prologue. Ended up with enough amrita to level to like 80. Is that normal? Was it one of those red grave summons?

are you actually level 80 or are you exagerating? you can get alot from the revenants but not 70 levels worth.

to level up each time requires more and more so i assume you didnt get as near as much as you think you got.

Are you sure? No, I don't think it's normal. Normally getting to level 80 is when you have played midway through the game.

Are revenants player data? I remember Dragon's Crown having bone piles that had hacked items. Looked for something in reddit and supposedly there are trade revenants that dole out millions of amrita.

Not really sure if I got one there but have played it on PS4 and never even gotten that much amrita but I never played it online (no online sub). Was just surprised how much exp I had getting to that ladder shortcut that loops around to the beginning of the area. Wondering if it was a glitch or something to do with the revenants.

Do you remember the name of the revenant you fought?

Most of them are player data. But there are also offline ones which are presumably left by the devs and beta testers.

Unfortunately no, wasn't even paying attention since I've played through the game a bit prior already, so I knew they, or at least the offline ones, didn't have anything that ridiculous. All I remember was being around the grassy area near the mansion, so probably one of the revenants there or one on the way there.

The more I look into it, the more it seems like player revenants is what's causing it. The wiki is terrible and doesn't say anything about the amount of drops but I could easily imagine a noob/friendly booster troll cheating with a bunch of exp and dying at that spot.

It's definitely revenants. I used them regularly to grind levels on Nioh and Nioh 2 on both PC and Playstation. When players die a portion of (or maybe even all of) their Amrita they had on them at the point of death is obtainable by killing their revenant.
