Unlocking new regions in Way of the Strong

How does it work? I noticed that after completing a certain number of missions, the last region and DLC becomes available, obviously it is a too difficult to do at this point though. Do they unlock after completing a certain mission?

Yes, I believe it's driven by number of missions you complete but someone may correct me if wrong.

Yes, for all NG+ new regions are unlocked purely based on completing any mission in that difficulty. The DLC missions in the previous difficulty will count towards the next. Ie: way of the samurai DLC missions count towards the progress for unlocking regions in way of the strong.

I think most people just single out the easiest missions just to get through it. I know I did. Once you unlock the queens eyes mission the DLC will open up and DLC missions are good for farming gear before you advance, specifically the first story mission in the 3rd DLC region. The elite human enemies drop good stuff. Marobashi is also superb for farming.

Yep :) good luck! New difficulties get real hard real fast. I always ran the first region mission where the NPC Girl helps you a few times for lvls and gears first thing when going NG+. I just let her do all the work and revive her as needed
