omg the boss is so hard to beat ! they got be a way to tone down the difficulty for atleast new players like me !

learn attack pattern, because if you cant fight that boss easily, you will have bad news a head waiting for you.

1 - Explore the map, find the 3 bonfires and light them.
2 - Don't use the bonfire in the boss arena to enchant your weapon. Use a fire talisman instead.

The fight is not easy, but you made it harder by not lighting the 3 bonfires on the map.

i think the boat boss is onryoki, considering u have to get to the boat to fight him

u can block the iron balls, it's not immediately clear but it's possible lol
will drain u of all ur ki though

If you can't beat that boss this game isn't for you.....
Maybe try something slower and easier like Dark Souls 2 first..... (lol)
Later in this game you will be forced to fight multiple bosses at the same time, all much harder and faster than that early boss on the ship.
