Epic version does coop EVER WORK?

Just wondering if anyone has made the epic version coop work? The game is just more fun with two people. How can simple coop like this be failing in a new game like Nioh? Even 2005 Resident Evil 5 connects coop seamlessly. Any tips? I know it's free but yeah, even if it were free, this is discouraging me to even buy the Nioh 2 if Koei cant even make coop right :D

I have a friend using steam version playing with a friend with epic version so...

The crossplay works fine for me.
I played all night long with a Steam friend who got the Epic version. We played from 1:00am to 7:27am without interruptions. We got to the final boss.

I was also co-oping with Epic players all night long. It's working fine. This game is so addicting.

Oh :( I cant coop with anyone. Not even a friend with the same password. I thought maybee the game is permanently broken. Do you have to be located in the same country? Thanks!

The coop with passsword with friend does not work for me at tall. Then I being a visitor, connection occured. Im so unlucky :(

Your not the only one, I'm having the same kinda issues on the epic version as well :/ have been trying for several days or so now as me and my friend have been wanting to play together and we haven't been able to yet as it just stuck at connecting until connection error occurred.

Other people are able to join us (if we don't set a password and just have it open for anyone), but we are not able to join other people nor each other.

ehm.. isnt it better address this EG issue to EG?
make some ticket there (if Epic already have something like that..?)

No. Epic doesn't have a strong community like Steam. Honestly I don't love it there, just got the free game :D I would much rather purchase the Nioh 1 and 2 from Steam but this coop problem is discouraging me from purchasing the next one. Too bad because it looks like a great game! I am here too because Steam community is much much helpful and discussions (not even a chat app) exist in Epic. Some players in Steam even share working fix and solutions. Epic is almost just like Amazon or Humble Bundle where you purchase the game. That's it :(

Yeah in my case nobody could even join me at all. No stranger can join us, or I can't join any stranger's game. Totally no coop. It surprises me some Epic version in BR for example can even play with Steam version...that says...maybe it's my own game and network settings. Same goes for my buddy I was trying to coop with in India He can't be joined by anyone, He can't join random strangers' encounters and cant coop with me with password. Like both our game's coop is dead.

And I dont know how to fix it. No clue at all.

Are you both in the same country? Match set to same country using a password? I really want mine to work too. I dont think Epic support or Epic store can even help me with this so I'd take chances asking other players for their experience,

Yeah, we're in the same country.

I'm trying to play with some other Epic players tonight (I don't know where they're from), and it's not so good. I haven't finished a mission yet. The connection lasts less than 10min.

i get it, but seriously, Steam cant fix EG issues and EG staff will not stalk Steam forum for bug reports to EG version of this game. as i see EG have issues with coop.. but Steam version is ok.. thats why u need somehow tell to EG about this issue, because it cant be fixed on Steam side..

Maybe they know I got it for free? Epic just seems so inexperienced. Still grateful for the free game. Im left to solve the problem alone or maybe attempt to buy Nioh 2 Steam and see if I get to coop there...

if u like first Nioh, then u will like second one too - its basically the same, but improved.. Yokai shift with own skill tree instead of Living Weapon, more weapons, another piece of "gear" - scrolls with unique boosts what u can "reforge" by fighting in "arena" and so..
