"Yokai realm with a companion" - Never works, 20 fails in a row.
"Random encounters" works at most half the time.
Not really sure what to do about it, thinking I might just ignore co-op, but I'd like to get at least one game of the yokai realm one in.
Having a similar connection issue in Nioh 2. Yesterday, I connected with a player on the Epic crossplay. Game hung up on a loading screen, closed out. Have not been able to connect to Epic in Nioh 2. I'll either time out or I may get a message in a Windows dialog about Epic failing to authorize.
I can still connect with Epic crossplay in this Nioh though. Minus the Connection Error messages I may get 0~3 times while searching for a game.
Fun fact is, we were able to play in co-op only yesterday and today, yet it didn't allow us to connect again after reaching region 2... No reboot, no random region change-synch magic or anti-virus adjustments helped.
Attempts/Changes that didn't change anything:
- Visitor-ID on/off
- Region change
- Region limitation on/off
- Inviting players with via shrine with Ochoko bowls
- Searching with Friend focus on/off
- Searching with Secret work on/off
- Searching blankly for games without any focus (
where the hell is the communication, devs?
I really, really don't know what the heck is going on with Nioh's server, but it's a truly crappy performance. And apparently it's only the western regions being affected. At least there are noreports on issue report sites from known eastern regions.
